Compota de manzana / Applesauce
Tiempo de preparación: 30 minutos + 2 horas de enfriado (sin contar con el envasado)
Ingredientes:
5 manzanas golden
2 ó 3 ramas de canela (yo usé 3, todo depende de la intensidad del sabor que os guste)
El zumo de 1/2 limón
Cómo lo hago:
2.- En una cazuela ponemos los trozos de manzana con las ramas de canela y el zumo del limón. Cubrimos con agua. Tapamos y ponemos al fuego hasta que empiece a hervir. Dejamos cocer 15 minutos.
3.- Si vemos que queda mucho líquido dejamos enfriar destapando la cazuela.

We can have it for breakfast with oatmeal yogurt and cereals (to give it that touch).
We can make it a garnish for our "no meat" dishes.
We can eat it by the spoonful...

5 golden apples
2 or 3 cinnamon sticks (I used 3, it all depends on the intensity of the flavor you like)
The juice of 1/2 lemon
How do I do it:
1.- Peel and chop the apples.
2.- In a saucepan put the apple pieces with the cinnamon sticks and the lemon juice. We cover with water. We put the lid on and put on the fire until it starts to boil. Let cook for 15 minutes.
3.- If we see that there is a lot of liquid left, let it cool by uncovering the casserole.
4.- Beat and that's it.

Note: As I have mentioned before, as it does not have any type of preservative, it will not last more than 3 or 4 days in the refrigerator so you either freeze it or keep it in a water bath.
I first sterilize the jars (the ones I have for a canning house). I look for the ones that are the same and I put them in a pan upside down uncovered and covered with water (you also have to put the lids in).
I let them cook for 45 minutes. I take them out and let them drain upside down (too). While I've been preparing the preserve. I fill them in and close them.I put them upside down again and put the canning jars in the same pot, this time I separate them with the help of cotton rags (to prevent them from breaking if hit). I cover with water and let them cook for 20 minutes.
Let cool and that's it.
